As we all may have noted by now, DoMO has shut down on all english servers, however it is still very much alive through Softstar themselves. Of course, the downside to this is we can't read chinese (at least, I know most of us can't). So to start everyone off, I'm going to give you all some links to help in downloading the game from Softstar, as well as play it. I won't go into doing the stuff involving translating using old Aeria files or anything for 2 reasons: 1. It's a bit difficult and usually that is where most errors occur, causing the game to crash or not run correctly. And 2. The Aeria files may be so outdated at this point, the translations may not work at all.
Of course, there is the option if we can just translate the games ourselves, the entirety of the problem would be solved, however, that is for a different time. For now, this is just a few links I found that can help you in getting DoMO from Softstar.
Sidenote: Before you get started, it does make a lot of this easier if you have your browser able to translate the Chinese, not sure what you would need or how exactly to do it, as my system already was capable, however anyone able to tell me for sure how to do it in certain situations, I will gladly update this to reflect that.
1. Download the game. domofree.joypark.com.tw/Download/Download01.aspx
This is just to get you started, simply click the first bulleted link inside the box on the bottom of the page.
2. Set up an account. akfrostarchive.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=announcements&action=print&thread=101
This guy already did a pretty decent job of explaining how to set up your account, although if your browser translates the chinese for you, you don't really need it. However, if you have any questions about something, you can check it out. One thing to note, however, is you need to put in 8 numbers into the passport section.
One more thing to note regarding some of the steps, after having replaced all the files in the folders (if you are going with translations) do NOT run the updater, as it will undo all of the files and replace them again with the original Chinese files.
You can set up the account first before downloading the client, the reason I put it in this order is that you can set up the account while waiting for it to download and install. After all that, you can be in the game. I don't read a lick of chinese, but it's still DoMO, so I think it's rather easy to figure out. I'm remaking Miantra as we speak Well, after you are reading this, I'll probably be a level 200 Shaman with Doc and Muse subs again, playing the healer and beating down Supergrass! See you in game!
If you are having any further issues (crashing, text not displaying correctly) check here and see if any of these tips can help you: akfrostarchive.proboards.com/post/259
Once in the game, I've noticed that it may be difficult to play without some help. If you can't remember who does what, you can still use the Wiki domo.wikia.com/wiki/Domo_Wiki
